In 2004 Applied Card Technologies (ACT) secured a contract to provide a unique customer loyalty and incentive solution using their proven innovative card solutions. Zinc Bar & Grill smart loyalty card was designed to offer customers a wide range of incentives and loyalty points, all delivered through the Zinc Elements loyalty brand.
ACT’s flagship product, GEL – Generic Electronic Loyalty® provided the programme management technology to enable Zinc to offer customers special offers, priority booking and invitations to private events all through a single customer card called ‘Elements’. The Elements card could be used in all Zinc restaurants, bars or private dining rooms while cardholders also receive exclusive information on offers, events, previews and Zinc launches. The Elements card also guaranteed users the ability to reserve a table of choice, which, if desired, can automatically be reserved for every visit.
All Zinc Bar & Grill restaurants were installed with a dedicated card terminal supplied by ACT so when the smartcard is dipped into the terminal, it automatically collects comprehensive customer information, including profile of the user and details of the transaction. This enabled Zinc to build up a reliable, informative customer database therefore helping to improve customer relations and offer more customer orientated products.
