ITSO was formed to build and maintain a specification for secure 'end to end' inter-operable ticketing transactions, utilising relevant ISO and emerging CEN standards.
ITSO is a Member controlled organisation that maintains the ITSO Specification for Members and the Crown. The Membership of ITSO is broadly based and includes PTE's, Local Authorities, Passenger Transport Operators and Suppliers of equipment, systems and services. www.itso.org.uk
ACT has been dedicated to the ITSO agenda from its early stages. We received the first full ITSO HOPS (AMS) certificate (now fully certified to v2.1.1), are a member of the ITSO Technical Committee and the supplier working group.
A central ingredient to any ITSO scheme is the HOPS (AMS) central transaction processing engine. The HOPS (AMS) is responsible for the following main activities (not exhaustive):
ITSO transaction clearing
Shell and product accounting
ITSO Security gatekeeper
ISAM lifecycle management
Scheme reporting
Interfacing to third party systems
Support for concessionary & commercial ticketing / travel
ACT understands that a HOPS (AMS) system cannot operate in isolation of existing transport management systems (e.g. card management systems) and has strived to build a flexible modular HOPS (AMS) solution, which can integrate well with existing systems.
In addition, ACT has fully integrated its own CMS and call centre management products with the ACT HOPS (AMS) - providing a complete turnkey package for our customers.
