Test Engineer
The Role:
Applied Card Technologies Limited is a global IT systems provider specialising in smart card transaction systems. Due to new contracts being awarded to us we are currently seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic software development team.
The successful candidate will become part of the ACT professional services team, working on the existing ACT product portfolio and new smart card / electronic commerce projects. The candidate would be involved in the testing and quality assurance of ACT software products.

- Lively, enthusiastic team player
- Concern for quality and excellence
- Disciplined, organised and willing to follow administration procedures
- Excellent telephone manner and experience with dealing with customers by telephone
- Keen to learn new skills and to be involved in guiding development activities with regard to long term support
- BTEC HND or equivalent technical qualification
- Fluent in English with excellent English oral and written skills
- Access to own transport
Technical Skills:
- Experience of software test procedure and practice
- Experience of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Working knowledge of computers, network infrastructures and technologies
Additional interests in the following would be advantageous:
- Oracle, SQL Server or other relational database
- Apache
- ISEB Certificate in Software Testing
Package:
- A competitive package will be offered based on experience.
Notes:
- All vacancies are based from our Chippenham office in the UK. Therefore candidates are sought from Bristol, Bath and Swindon areas.
