Merseytravel Smart Enabled Ticket (SET)
In 2006 Merseytravel awarded ACT (Applied Card Technologies) the contract to deliver an ITSO certified Full HOPS (AMS) and integrated Cardholder Management System (CMS) for the Merseytravel ITSO Concessionary Travel project.
The ACT HOPS (AMS) and CMS systems are now fully operational and integrated to Merseytravel ticketing units and volume card bureau enabling Merseytravel to issue, monitor and control over 280,000 ITSO contactless smart cards for concessionary travel in the Merseyside area.
