Manchester

The Manchester Business Card will provide business visitors and tourist visitors with an all-in-one package giving them access to conferences and discounts to a host of attractions, restaurants, bars and other recreational essentials in the city all through a single smartcard.

The cards are offered to delegates when they attend specific events in the city, (such as conferences and conventions) so as to make the most of their stay.  A taster of current offers for food, drink, shopping and leisure include the Manchester United Museum and Tour, The Trafford Centre, the Opera House, Yang Sing and Tiger, Tiger.

The intelligence for the project will be provided by ACT’s renowned city card destination management solution, Discovery.  The Discovery system supports contact and contactless technology and provides card holders with multiple ticket types, supports multiple people and multiple cities / regions, giving tourist bodies and private scheme operators all they need to establish and manage visitor and retail smart card programmes.

The Manchester City Card aims to enhance the Manchester city visit experience, as well as providing reliable, up-to date and extensive marketing information for all parties involved (provided by the ACT Discovery back office).
